Before I totally forgot, let me share some of Amber’s pictures taken on her 2nd birthday celebration last June 18.
We had a very simple celebration. Incidentally, the Hubby and I are not party-throwers. We love attending big parties but for some reasons, we both can’t handle throwing out parties. Before Amber’s first birthday, we considered giving her a kiddie party but we both backed out from the idea and settled for a family get-together in Tagaytay. It was cozy and more relaxed, exactly what we have wanted and what we can handle!
So for her 2nd birthday, we first thought of just having an overnight relax-time stay in a hotel. But we changed our minds a couple of days before and opted to have a simple celebration at home.
No invitations were distributed. I wasn’t even sure if there will be any guests. We just asked the Hubby’s 2 year-old nephew from a few blocks away to come and play with Amber and sent a message that we have prepared lunch. Most of the relatives residing in the same village came in shortly to greet Amber. I was glad they came and gave us their precious time even for a very short notice.
Mama (my MIL) who is still in vacation in a faraway land, was able to grace the celebration through Skype! ^_^
We ordered food at Shangri-la Fine Dining Cuisine in West Ave. Since the time we held Amber’s christening here, they became our quick fix for small gatherings. I just place the order for pick up a day before. No sweat!
The birthday girl seemed so aware that it’s her celebration. Even when she was seated at the dining table, she always turns her head and waves at whoever is coming in. And she is exceptionally friendly that day, always saying “hi” to everyone she sees. Nakakatuwa!

You can find where I ordered the cake here. ^_^
Haay, we promised Amber (make that, ourselves) that we’re going to throw her a big birthday party on her 7th birthday. At least that time, we can already involve her in the preparation.
