Watching A Movie

Gusto ko magkwento... mahabang kwento! Magsalita lang ng magsalita sa pamamagitan ng keyboard! CONSIDER THIS A WARNING.

Amidst the chaos of a super duper mega payday-Friday, Hubs and I went to G4 last Friday. Shempre, traffic on the way there. Nakakalokang traffic! Tapos ang hirap nung level-90ish ng Candy Crush, naubos life ko! Wala akong choice but to watch the other traffic-stuck cars sa paligid.

We reached our destination after an hour and a half. Parang saglit lang naman yun pero without the freaking traffic, it will take you only minutes to get there. So kaka!

Anyways, at least we got there more than an hour before the last full show ng World War Z. Opkors, hindi palalagpasin ni hubbydudes yan -- Zombie movie eh.

Don’t ask me when was the last time we watched a movie in a theater, kasi nakalimutan ko na sa tagal.

When we were on the line to buy tickets, nagsikip ang dibdib ko, the screen showed that there were no vacant seats anymore. Nakakapikon lang. Gusto ko na mag-walkout. Buti na lang, the Hubby was unusually patient that time. He said magtanong na daw kami since andun na rin kami sa pila. Para bang papayag sha maupo sa bench sa gilid ng theater or sa floor if these will be the last resort.

Glad that I listened! Because of the people still lining up for the movie, they opened another schedule for it that will start at 10:40PM! Yebah!

But wait ---

It was only 8:20PM. We were supposed to see the 9:40PM show. Anong gagawin namin sa loob ng mahigit dalawang oras?!?

Yet, I didn’t complain. I went there to watch a movie so I will not leave without watching a movie! Kahit abutin pa kami ng madaling araw!

By the way, earlier that day I called Ate Judith to tell her to tuck Amber to sleep that night because we will be getting home late ni Hubby. Ang sagot ba naman...

Ate Judith: Okay lang yun... syempre hindi naman pwedeng puro trabaho lang, kelangan nagdi-date din paminsan-minsan.

Toinkz! Hanep sa comment ano? Pumi-feeling close! Minsan itong si Ate Judith, may pagka-! Parang wala naman akong sinabi where we’re going. Nag-assume agad?! Malay nya kung may meeting lang sa office di ba?! Well wala namang kaso yun except that she’s being atribida most of the times sometimes. But we love her because she loves Amber. So keri lang.

We did all the things we thought of doing inside the mall just to kill time.

So when the movie begun... inaantok na ko!

But then, the zombies woke me up! Nakakaloka ang mga zombies sa movie na to! Aggressive! Ang liliksi! Para sa mga deads, they’re so full of energy!

So saan ba patutungo itong kwento ko? Wala naman talaga. Gusto ko lang maalala na nakapanood ulit ako ng sine after a very long time of satisfyingly watching lang ng mga pinirata kong movies in the comfort of our own home.

It’s nice to be watching in movie theatres once in a while. But I realized that I like it more to watch movies privately in our own living room. Bakit?

Una, walang mga ulo ng tao na haharang-harang sa screen. Nakakasakit ng leeg makipagpatintero ng ulo sa mga nakaupo sa harap ha!

Pangalawa, if you miss any scenes or a dialogue in the movie, just press rewind on your RC and voila!

Pang-apat, with the exception of some theatres that has lazy boys na pagkamamahal ng ticket, you can be in whatever position you find comfortable in pag nasa bahay ka lang.

There are still more reasons I can think of but I’ll leave it at that for now.

Ang bottom line lang, parang matatagalan ulit bago ako manonood ng sine because although the movie was great, the experience wasn’t. Unless may zombie movie na naman na ipapalabas at yayakagin na naman ako ng zombie-addict kong asawa.

That’s all. Bow.

Weekend Movies: Warm Bodies

imdb.com

No wonder it got a high 7.2 rating in IMDB. Not that I consider the ratings highly credible but at least I use it as basis whether to watch a movie or not.

Despite it being a romance movie (zombie and romance? Go figure.), the Hubby agreed to watching it because, you guessed it right, it has zombies.

If you don’t know it yet, my Hubby, for reasons I don’t know, is very fascinated with zombie movies. He has watched almost every zombie movie available in video. Creepy huh?!

The movie is the kind that will grow on you. It’s such a feel good movie that after seeing it, you’ll find yourself wearing that big smile instead of feeling grossed out like what gory zombie films do. Well, I don’t know if it will have the same effect on you but it sure had on me. :)

It’s a whole different approach to zombie films where the undead are depicted as rotting corpses that came to life only to eat human brains. In this movie, the undead discovered that they have this triggering point when they can go back to life and live in normalcy.

If you don’t have anything to do this weekend, you may want to see it. :)

Promise not to tell the Hubby that I shared this with you but even he, with his unromantic, no-drama persona, said that this is his favorite zombie movie at the moment. Of course I looked at him intently and tried to gage if he was being serious, he then said, “I said it already, don’t push it!”. Hahahaha! He is really such a softie inside. ^_^

And I found out that this movie is an adaptation of a Novel with the same title that is inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Ohh, that explains the names...

A Certified Tearjerker

I went to the office today with eyes all puffy and red. Kasi naman, nobody advised me not to watch this film late at night! Ayan, itinulog ko yung maga kong mata, lalong namaga! The culprit:

I must have lost a few good pounds for all the tears I’ve shed for this movie. I knew that it’s a touching movie but I didn’t expect I would be super affected by it. Affected, not in the way because my marriage is going through rubbles but because as a wife, I cannot bear the thought of having my marriage shatter because of pride and selfishness.

If only each couple sees and understands the value of their partners, then maybe we won’t need to have divorces or annulments. Yeah I know, I’m far from being the perfect wife but I could try, with God’s help. J

Now, how can I get my hands on that ‘Love Dare’? It’s not like we need to have our marriage to fall apart first before we can accept the dare, don’t we? ;-)

Hmmm, why don’t I gift the Hubby a copy of the 'Love Dare' since he didn’t watch the movie with me? Malay mo if he takes the challenge... I’ll live to be a queen for 40 days! Hehe! I’m so tired of being a princess na kasi. Hahaha! Echos!

This movie is best seen together with your spouses! ^_^

Couch Potato Me

What has been on TeeVee? Book to film/TV adaptations! ^_^

Game of Thrones

I failed! I failed again to read the book before seeing the TV adaptation. L

But I have good reasons! One, ang haba ng book! At ang hirap nya basahin, I swear! Two, well, the story is very interesting but it can be very boring at some point. Several times, I was tempted to skip a chapter. I just stop myself because I might miss an important event out of that boring chapter. Third, I got hold of a copy of the TV series, Seasons 1 and 2. Now, what can stop me from watching? Teehee!

I’m glad that I watched the TV series instead. I was instantly hooked. I was able to finish two seasons (equivalent to two books: Game of Thrones and Clash of Kings) in a little over 1 week. Now, I’m so looking forward to the release of the third season (A Storm of Swords).

Hunger Games

I finally watched the movie adaptation last Saturday night! Thanks to the resourceful pirates of the world for making a BluRay copy available 7 days before its expected release! Oh-ha!

Again, it is very disadvantageous knowing the story (by heart) before seeing the film. Feeling ko ambagal ng story. Kasi naman, I was already anticipating the next moves and scenes. I tried all my might not to make kwento while we watch for the benefit of my Hubby who is totally clueless about the film. Ang hirap! Kulang na lang i-stapler ko ang bibig ko, hehe!

I liked how it was executed. The scenes that made me cry in the book did make me cry in the movie, too. Oo naman, iniyakan ko ang Hunger Games! Haha! At proud ko pa talagang inamin ha. Sows!

Once Upon A Time

I know that this TV Series is not based on a particular book (but of several story books!). Pero isasama ko pa rin sa post na ito. Simply, because I loved this TV Series. All my lazy weekends were spent watching it episode after episode.

I finished 22 episodes in 2 weekends. Marathon to the nth power!

This is about the story of Snow White and the other fairytale characters that were cursed by the Evil Queen. The fairytale characters were brought to a different period and lived in a village called Storybrooke at the present time not knowing who they were in the past and how they are connected to each other. The prophecy is that the curse can be broken by Snow White’s daughter when she reached her 28th year. The baby was sent to live in the present time to save her from the Evil Queen’s wrath.

There you go... aside from mommy and wifey duties, these are the things that make a busy me during weekends. ^_^

Weekend Movies: The Avengers & The Vow

The last time I went to a movie theater was to watch Captain America. I had no plans of seeing The Avengers in the theater as I am living up to my being a pirata. Hehe! But after hearing so many good feedback about the movie, I decided to agree with the Hubby to watch the much awaited film and not to wait for torrents anymore.

Since I’ve taken a silent oath not to give any spoilers anymore, although it’s pointless since I’m sure almost everyone has already watched it, I’ll just comment on how my experience having a date with Nick Fury, the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Loki went. ^_^

It was FUN! It’s totally hilarious!

I now have a soft spot for the Hulk after seeing this movie. For a big fellow that he is, he is such a darling!

It reminded us to watch Thor’s movie, which never appealed to us, but we thought of seeing because we honestly don’t know much about him and his brother, Loki.

By the way, if you have watched each of the Avengers characters' movie, you will see bits and pieces of the other characters in their individual films, like how Capt. America’s shield was used by Tony Stark in Iron Man 2. etc, etc... Just an observation. ;-\

Thumbs up to The Avengers! I really enjoyed it!

**************

Come Sunday evening, I felt like watching a movie but the Hubby was so busy tinkering the sound system of his car so I decided to watch The Vow alone since he isn’t really into romantic movies anyways.

So kaka! It was a wrong idea to watch it at night. Gumising ako kanina na maga ang mata! I’ve shed too many tears for that movie! The Hubby was laughing at me. Hmpft! Di na nga ko sinamahan manood, pinagtawanan pa yung maga kong mata. Waaah! Lalo akong sumingkit!

It was easy to fall in love with Leo (Channing Tatum). Yeah, I think I’m crushing on Channing. Haha! Feeling teener lang.

But I could really feel the pain in Leo as he tries to win back his wife’s love after losing her memory, of ever meeting him, in a car accident.

There were too many inspiring and touching scenes and lines.

What I cried most about is when Leo decided to give up and told Paige that it hurts him to see Paige looking at her ex-boyfriend, Jeremy that way. It pains him to know that Paige still thought she is still in-love with Jeremy, he can say so the way she looks at Jeremy because she used to look at Leo that way. Ay grabe! I thought my heart will be torn into pieces. I wanted to reach out to Leo and claim him. Hahaha! Harot!

Movie To Watch: Shutter Island

Pag nanonood ka pala ng psycho-thriller film, you may end up losing your mind, too. Well, I was that close while watching Shutter Island because I kept on speculating and hoped that I would say, “I knew it!” when the movie ends.

Critics acclaimed that DiCaprio and director Martin Scorsese made a great team in this very compelling movie. I see no reason why I would say otherwise.

Was I able to say that I knew it? At certain situations, yes. But there are more to be revealed than what is obvious.

I promised myself not to give any spoilers. It is only fair that other viewers who are only about to see it lose their minds too, right? LOL. Besides, I don't want to ruin the excitement.

Seeing the movie makes me want to read the book it was based upon. I hope my trusted nearby Booksale has this on its shelves. ^_^

Movie Time: Friends With Benefits

Sniff! Sniff! There goes those drops of tears again. Yeah, I know! I’m such a cry baby! Crying over Friends With Benefits. Duh! To think it’s a comedy film. What the heck! Walang basagan ng trip. :-p

This is one of the reasons why I like chick flicks! It makes me human. WUTEVER! And I get kilig even if I don’t find JT too hot to be kilig-worthy. But I must admit that he has a very nice and shapely behind! Well, it was really the very subtle yet very touching scenes that I enjoyed the most of course (yeah, right! ~grin~).

It’s like I know that there will be a point in the movie where it would definitely get cheesy as how any romantic comedy films go but because of its spontaneity, the cheesy part hit me like that unexpectedly.

I’m starting to love Mila Kunis. Her character in this movie is so naturally easy-going that it makes me think if it was really her who played Lily in Black Swan where she was so mysterious and cold-hearted. This time, one could easily fall in love with her character.

And oh, I get so mesmerized with her big brown eyes! ^_^

Hay naku, I wish someone would arrange a flash mob for me in Grand Central Station! <sa EDSA MRT ba yung counterpart nun dito? Hahaha! Wag na lang pala, mahirap na mag-cause ng pandemonium>!

Movie Date Thursday: Ghost Protocol

Hola! This lulubog-lilitaw online status of mine is making me anxious. Dami ko nakakalimutan ikwento, hmpf!

Anyhoo, days before Christmas, I was still busy as a bee. Now it’s days before the New Year and I am still a working bee! Why is that?!? Akala ko ba down ang Semicon industry?!? Well, it is but there seemed to be so many things that are needed to be done in the office. Very ironic!

But the Hubby and I managed to sneak in our busy lives a movie date last Thursday. Yey!

We saw MI:Ghost Protocol... (theme on background please ^_^).

I’m so glad we did despite having a migraine towards the end of the movie. Yes both the Hubby and I had migraine attack and we blame it on the cinema’s poor video focusing, CALLING FESTIVAL MALL. Or maybe it’s just our eyes failing us! Wutever! Nevertheless, I enjoyed the film.

Hmmm, I promised myself to skip on giving spoilers for the benefit of those who haven’t seen Ethan Hunt’s latest mission but... allow me to indulge a bit. ^_^

The movie is full of unbelievably daring stunts and pursuits that will make you palpitate. Entertainment at its highest baga! Never a dull moment. I tried doing a little ‘madam auring’ at the beginning of the movie but all my predictions failed me. That’s how exciting and unpredictable, to some extent, it was.

I’m not sure if Tom really did the stunts himself but for a man at his what, late forties to early fifties to pull off such death-defying stunts is really remarkable! I’m not into Tom Cruise but seeing him in his MI movies makes me consider him hot. Hehe!
Did you nkow what I've uttered in this particular scene?
"Ang galing ng camera man!". Hahaha!

I love Dunn! The humor injected in the scenes by his character would make you pause in your nail-biting anticipation and give yourself a chance to relax before letting you plunge in yet another thrilling episode.
Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn

Of course I just have to mention... star kay Hubby the car that Hunt and Carter used in the movie! My goolay, he was almost drooling. LOL! According to him, it was a BMW Hybrid churva-churva... you know naman me, I don't speak cars so ayun, di ko na na-get kung ano sinabi nya between whispers. Basta, his face lit up at the sight of that shiny shimmering piece of running metal. Makahanap nga ng die-cast miniature nyan!

Watching movies like this always makes me wonder if these schemes of staged crimes and cover ups really happen in this crazy real world. IF THEY DO, SPARE ME! Nakakaloka!

Movie Date Friday: Real Steel

I couldn’t believe that I cried for this film! I think I’m being utterly soft-hearted lately! Haaaiiz!

I initially wanted to watch Tower Heist to have some good laugh. But the next screening is at 10:10PM. So late! The Hubby suggested for us to watch Real Steel instead since the traffic is just crazy outside, he’d rather pass time watching any movies than being stuck in the heavy traffic. So Real Steel in G4 Cinema it is!

For a movie about steel, this one surprisingly has a heart.

But hey, I didn’t cry because of the boxing robots. Those scenes were rather amusing and downright funny! Boxing robots... think about that!

What deeply moved me were Charlie and Max’s scenes. There was undeniably an overflowing emotion between the estranged father and son as they found love and earned each other’s respect thru their love in boxing and video games respectively.

I couldn’t help not to shed a tear seeing how the teary-eyed Max looked at his father with pure admiration as Charlie, in his full glory, was shadow-playing the robot Atom, a second generation robot which Max saved from a scrap yard. The look in the boy’s eyes just touched me. Argh! Am I just being mellow dramatic or what?!?!
Sorry, I couldn't find a picture of that scene but isn't Dakota Goyo a real charmer?

The story happened in the year 2020. The gadgets were a bit futuristic but the environment is pretty much the same. Even the cars didn’t seem to evolve into a more ultramodern design. That was according to the car-person that is my Hubby. Well, I don’t also expect them to be flying around in that era just yet.  ;-)

In the end, despite it's poor rating and talks about it being purely 'scrap' (
no pun intended), I enjoyed the movie. But something I will not watch with my child/ren to spare me from humiliating myself by crying while they give out a loud and exciting cheer at the fighting bots. ^_~

Why I Enjoy Watching Chick Flicks?

Because they entertain me...

they're easy to watch sans the complicated plot...

they make me feel sad and good at the same time...

I can relate to whatever – the character, the story at one point, the bestfriend, the nosy neighbor, etc... etc...

and,

I can fall in love with the lead good-looking-hunky actor!

Did I say that just right? Haha!

Yes, I heart Alex O’Loughlin (his character Stan particularly) in The Back-Up Plan! If Zoe tries to get rid of you again, you can come to me in my dreams! ^_^

Movie Thursday: Crazy Stupid Love

I’ve seen its trailer several times but I didn’t care that much because I’m sure the Hubby would be uninterested to see this. He is not into a romantic drama flick.

Then I heard DJs rave about this in the early morning radio show that we listen to. I got curious. Then it has been talked about in N@W. Made me doubly curious!

So I read the summary and found the story interesting!

A 2-pc KFC chicken made the Hubby agree to watch the movie! Oh di ba, ang babaw din ng kaligayahan ng asawa ko? Haha! Sabi nya sa sinehan sha kakain to keep him busy in case he gets bored. Tarush! So the chicken and tickets were purchased!

It’s a feel good movie! I laughed, was touched, kinilig at some point and yes, tears fell twice.

It didn’t help though that I had read about it. I spoiled the big surprise, big time! I’m glad I kept that little information to myself. At least the Hubby was surprised to find out that Hannah is Cal’s daughter. Oops, sorry for those who haven’t seen it yet. Naghahanap lang ako ng damay! Hahaha!  Mega-spoiler!

The film describes different stages of love and relationships. That of a long-time married couple who are in a brink of losing it or so they thought; A new-found love who totally changed a man’s way of living, and; A young, idealistic admiration that will never give up despite any obstacles.

Scenes that I liked the most in the movie?

-The dirty dancing scene! Playing the song I’ve Had The Time Of My Life is already a winner for me. I like that song! I would also fall for that ‘big move’ if I were Hannah!
After the 'big move'.

-The most romantic part for me was when Jacob and Hannah were on the bed -- talking. They didn’t have to make love to make me feel sobrang kilig. I was touched that Jacob opened up his personal life to her.

-Emily calling Cal, telling him she’s in the basement and needs help. Cal gave her a walkthrough while looking at her through her living room window. Yes, she was only pretending and Cal knew because he was there in the garden where he sneaks in every night to tend the plants. I really couldn’t keep my tears from falling over their conversation.

While everybody is going gaga over Jacob’s (Ryan Gosling) hotness in the film, I adore 13-year old Robbie (Jonah Bobo) the more! He is so cute especially towards the end of his graduation speech wherein he professed again his love for his 17-year old babysitter Jessica, who he believes to be his soul mate. Everybody gave out a good laugh at that.

But do soul mates really exist? Do they guarantee a lifetime of happiness?

Methinks that soul mates do exist only in movies and fairytales. What’s real is the commitment we give to that one person that we chose to spend the rest of our life with.

Lifetime happiness is also real! But that does not mean you won’t be sad or hurt along the way.

And there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Every couple have had and will have trying times. The movie reminds us to always keep the flames of love burning. True in every marriage. We became too complacent and oftentimes take our partners for granted while we run our own busy lives. A relationship needs to be cultivated for it to flourish.

Emily was right. The fact that she was able to sleep with another man is an indication that her marriage with Cal is broken or that they are heading there. But it also tells us that even if everything else crumbles, love can hold and keep every pieces intact. And that love could conquer all!

-----------------------------

On our way out of the parking area, the hubby while looking at the road said, “I can also do that big move!”, then glanced and smiled at me.

Yeah, you can say that it was a tickle pink evening. ^_^

Movie Weekend

What’s on TV last weekend? Priest and Harry Potter! ^_^

Priest

I already had a preview of the Priest because I’ve watched the beginning of it until the bus reached Alabang, leaving me so curious! So the Hubby and I watched it last Saturday evening - full length! ^_^

I knew it! Well, it’s kinda obvious that the Priest and Shannon and Lucy are related like how I suspected but of course we needed a confirmation di ba? So it didn't come as much of a shock anymore.

My take on the movie? Well, it didn’t sustain my initial excitement. I got bored towards the end of the film. It became so predictable.

I wished that the other priests who was sent to bring Paul Bettany's character back to the city was given a moment to shine on their own. They didn't seem to be as strong as how their characters have been depicted. I liked Bettany's performance though.

Black Hat reminds me so much of Van Helsing. ^_^

Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire & The Order of the Phoenix

By the way, I haven’t read any Harry Potter books. My sister-in-law, I think has the complete set but I’m just too lazy to read it since it’s easier to watch. ^_^

Pero I agree that nothing beats reading a book. One’s imagination is boundless! Pero pag si Harry, watch na lang ako muna. Hehe!

So ayun, we finished 2 movies on Sunday night. Whew! It’s a little addicting once you’ve started it. If we don’t have to wake up very early the next day, we could have watched until the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (wala pa kasi torrent un Part 2 ^_^)!

What I like about Harry Potter movies is its clean execution of events. It wouldn’t leave you wondering. There is always a clear rationalization towards the end of every episode.

If all things fail, would you not be amazed with magic and wizardry? ^_^

Movie Day Thursday: Captain America (The First Avenger)

Since number coding si Hubby yesterday, but it really doesn’t have a bearing since SLEX naman kami dadaan and we are only using it as an excuse, we watched a moviiiieeee! Yay, just like the old times. Teehee!

I was hoping to watch Blitz, the one with Jason Statham. Yes, I am starting to like action films nowadays. Festival Mall Cinemas’ website says that it is still being shown. To my dismay, it has already been pulled out the previous week according to the lady in the ticket booth. Hmp, they should update their website.

I’m not a fan of Captain America. As a child, more so now that I’m a grown up, I knew very little of him.

Konsensha: Pano ang kilala mo, si Captain Barbel!

Tseh!

I was not very keen in seeing this movie. But there wasn’t any choice and we were already there that we have to watch whatever movie is available for viewing. Saka cute naman si Chris Evans, so sige na nga, ito na lang!

Honestly, I find Chris cuter when he was the Human Torch. I’ve been telling the Hubby that but he just keeps on ignoring me. Selos? Wehehe!

So how did Captain America fair, if you’d ask me?

The movie has a heart. The character showed strong sense of patriotism. The story of Captain America gave hope to those who deem themselves inadequate.

I was deeply touched on the scene wherein during a training, the frail and skinny Steve Rogers jumped over the grenade that was thrown at them, using his body to cover it to lessen the impact when it explodes while he beckons the others to seek cover. He was prepared to sacrifice himself while everybody, those who are known to be strong and brave ran their asses off like rats.

He personified the saying, Try and try until you succeed. His determination led him to become a super soldier that the American troupe ever had.

The movie has just the right amount of action scenes that showcased Captain America’s strength and fighting abilities. There were other funny scenes that are really amusing like the one where Steve Rogers outwits his fellow draftees by getting a flag from a pole that won him a ride back to the base camp. ^_^

It was also interesting that Tony Stark’s father is in the movie. He is very much like his son by the way.

I used to ridicule the Captain with his very colorful costume. It is after seeing the movie that I understood why he wears or used to wear colorful tights. But enough of the spoilers! You have to see it for yourself. ^_^

And if you haven’t seen it or have plans to watch it on theaters, wait until post-credits. They will show a teaser for The Avengers, which will be shown in May 2012. That explained why everybody was still seated despite the very long credits. The Avengers looks watch-worthy. I saw Tony Stark and Thor. I am looking forward to it!

Movie On Board: Priest

I commuted to work again this morning because the Hubby has an official trip to Pangasinan. Same old story – left the house at 6:30AM, got in the office at 10AM. 3 ½ hours of travel, nothing new.

Except that my bus ride seemed so quick even though I heard some passengers complaining that they are getting late to work because the driver took so much time at the bus stop hoping to get more passengers, blah blah blah...

Why the ride seemed so fast and short to me? I wasn’t able to finish the movie being shown on board!!! I was so engrossed that I even got disappointed when we reached our destination.

The movie – Priest.

The movie was just starting when I hopped inside the bus. It looked promising. The Hubby wanted to watch it when it was shown but I didn’t want to. Now that I’ve seen a part of it and was totally engrossed, I have to find a torrent of this!!!

Manong kunduktor again called out for those passengers getting off at the South Station. I was already on the part where the Priest was fighting against the weaker-but-super-duper-ferocious vampires! Saka I’m so intrigued about the Priest’s real relationship with the kidnapped girl and his supposed sister-in-law who was killed by the vampires.

**sigh! can I joyride with the bus back to where it came from? wut? I have to pay for the fare? ok, fine, bababa na ko! hmpft!**

I am so watching this!!! ^_^

*searching torrent file... bwahahaha!*

A.D.D.I.C.T!!!

Movie Night Friday

Yeah boy! The Hubby asked me out for a movie date last Friday. *grin*

Grabe the lines at the TriNoma Cinemas! There were only 2 movies being shown: Deathly Hallows 2 and Dark of the Moon 3 (what’s with all these movies having sequels?).

I was almost disappointed.

We can’t definitely watch Harry Potter because we haven’t seen it since Prisoner of Azkaban. And it would be lousy if we jump to the last instalment without knowing what went on in between. But I’m doing something about that already. Currently downloading Parts 1 to 6, file size is 59 Gig. Yipee, I’ll be watching Harry Potter after ten years!!! Bummer! ;-\

Although I watched the first 2 chapters, I was never a fan of Transformers. Not even when I was a little girl and everybody was all hyped-up with the cartoon series and its toys. I find it so for-the-boys kasi. But because the Hubby followed this animation series before, ok then, go lang. It’s still a movie anyways and it will make me happy to watch a movie – any movies for that matter. Like how Ron Witwicky puts it, “Happy wife makes a happy life!”. ^_^

Like the past episodes, the special effects are really remarkable! Any gear-person would really be fascinated. Why I said so? Look at all the gears (literal talaga no?!) flying around when the robots transform! Nahihilo ako sa dami ng mechanism! Hehe!

It may just be me but I’m really disappointed with Optimus Prime! For a leader, he doesn’t impress me. He’s so... soft! There was even a scene with him that I find very funny -- he was caught up in the cables from the shattered building. And he really struggled because he can’t get lose. It bothered me! Cables lang yun, he can’t let lose, pano na pag anjan na yung Decepticons?!?! How are they going to save planet Earth from being taken over? How will the Autobots stop the Decepticons from bringing Cybertron to Earth and make humans their slaves? How? How? If he can’t even free himself from mere cables!?! Hehe, told you I’m not a fan and I might be siding Megatron anytime soon (kotrabida much!). But what the heck, there may be more to Optimus Prime than meets my eye! Teehee!

And hey, Patrick Dempsey! You’re in this film pala. It’s a breath of fresh air seeing Dr. McDreamy in a villain role (he looked like he gained weight by the way, shhh...).

I gave out a few good laughs throughout the movie though.

Oh, I have a favorite scene pala! It was when Bumble Bee transformed into his Autobot form while Sam and Carlie were riding his car form. Then the two were thrown away during the transformation but before they landed, Bumble Bee was able to catch them both. This was done in slow-mo.

I wonder if we have seen this on 3D instead? Panay siguro ilag ko! Liparan ng liparan yung mga metal parts nila kaya!

Side kwento: what the Hubby and I love about watching in cinemas are the trailers of upcoming movies. We always make sure that we get inside early or as soon as the movie ends so we will not miss movie previews. ^_^

So here are the movies that we look forward to seeing:

~ Mission Impossible (Ghost Protocol)
I can almost hear that very famous background music!

~ Cowboys Vs. Aliens
Dunno why but the Hubby is so eager to see this!

~ And the one of Jason Statham that I didn't get the title.
