My Big Better Burger Appetite

Isisingit ko lang my favorite burger of the season. ^_^

Pano ko ba sisimulan to without craving for another big burger?!? Bahala na ang diet!

So far, I have tried Mushroom Loco, Hahalapeno, and Bacon Barbecue Burger. Yup, ganyan ko sha ka-like at hindi ko tinigilan balik-balikan until I’ve tried most of their best-sellers.

All the burgers are yum-yum with grilled 1/3 lb pure beef patties that you can instruct to be cooked their way or a little well-done (like what I prefer).

With Mushroom Loco, I love the combination of the mushroom and the cheese dressing on the juicy burger patty. It’s very creamy.

Bacon Barbecue Burger naman has this sweet barbecue sauce that contrasts with the tanginess of the grilled onion ring.

My favorite of all the three, is the Hahalapeno. It’s a bit spicy because of the salsa dressing, making my burger more appetizing!

Have your Big Better Burger paired with a French fries and soda. A perfect snack meal! Next on my list is the 3 Cheese Explosion!

Books Once More!

It’s been a long time since I last visited Booksale. But when the Hubby and I did last week, I was so happy to have found a new set of books for Amber’s growing library. By the way, the temporary bookshelf that I made for her could no longer house all of her books. I need to find a spot in the house where we can put a bigger shelf for her.

Here are my new finds:
Dear God, goodnight; Snow White; Fuzzy Bear Gets Dressed

This one's perfect for the season!

Aside from my Booksale finds, my sister-in-law sent her some books, too.

These are her very first non-board books! I was so glad to see that she already knows how to handle them, turning the pages very carefully so as not to crumple nor tear the pages.

I guess she is now ready for all types of books! Making my book-hunting more fun and easier because there are wider range of books to choose from now.

Here comes the sun, but not for long!

The past week had been so wet. With almost the entire metro submerged in floodwater. Wala pang typhoon nyan. The heavy outpour is only caused by the monsoon rains. I hope our fellow countrymen who were greatly affected by the flooding are now recovering.

Kaso, here comes Helen. May bagyo na naman po. Hindi naman sha expected na mag-land fall but just imagine how Habagat would react to this typhoon? Tsk-tsk!

Just this morning, we experienced heavy rains. As in parang binabayo ang bubong ng bahay.

Kahit yung natutulog na Amber, hindi kinaya ang ingay.
Sorry for the lack of lighting. Baka kasi magising ang bagets.

Good thing she was too sleepy to be awaken by the heavy rains. She just covered her ears and went back to dreamland.

"Which Hurts More To A Parent?"

Ko-connect muna ako sa current events.

Due to the recent incident all over the news regarding a death brought about by fraternity hazing, a co-worker, who is single and without a child, asked me what would be more hurtful – that you be the parent of the (dead) victim or the accused?

I asked my Hubby about this and without batting an eyelash, he said that it is more painful for the parents of the victim because they have lost a child. Maybe to a father's point of view, yes.

Honestly, if I didn’t have a child, I would think likewise. But as a Mom, victim or accused, dead or alive but imprisoned, I couldn’t say that the other can be more painful because to a mom, I cannot bear seeing my child suffer in any degree.

Okay, andun na ko... if your child is proven guilty and then your child suffers and eventually loses his future, maybe it is also because of his own doing... But then, he is still MY child. Don’t take me wrong ha, I will NEVER think of tolerating his wrongdoings. I won’t. But his being guilty of whatever charges will not stop me from being his mother, di ba?

The fact that he did something terrible would already pain me. Seeing him pay for it, although he must, would just pain me more.

So until now, I cannot decide. Simply because no parent, or more specifically, no mother would want to see their children in whichever situation. I can only pray for my child to always be a good person and be kept away from the evilness of the world.

What say you?

Happy Birthday, Mama Dearest!

It was my mother-in-law’s birthday yesterday. Since the Hubby, my sis-in-law and I had to go to work, she celebrated it with her youngest sister, Tita Let. They went to City Buffet and watched Dark Knight Rises afterwards.

May I share with you that since Mama retired and found a ‘galaan’ buddy in Tita Let, she has been frequenting the cinemas! Wala shang napapalagpas na movie, I tell you. Tinalo pa kaming mga self-proclaimed adik sa movies!

I’m glad that you had fun on your birthday ‘Ma, despite the stormy weather yesterday (and even today). Happy birthday, ‘Ma. There are a lot of things I’m truly grateful about you. Some of those are your loving me and accepting me whole-heartedly, treating me as if I am really your child – not just a person that your son married.” ^_^

“I’m sorry that sometimes I feel bad whenever you text me what time I am coming home, if I am near the house already, if I can leave the office early so I can be home before night time. I’m sorry that I thought of these things as your way of controlling me. When in fact, you are only worried about me when I’m not at home yet, same way you worry about your children... now, I understand. Now, your nervous text messages even bring smile on my face as I know that you regard of me more than I thought you do.”

“I love you, Mama. I’m glad that you became my second mother on earth!”
