I Play Siege Hero

This i-phone application is sooo addicting.

I was playing Cover Orange when the Hubby introduced Siege Hero and it proved my theory that it is easier to do damage than to avoid one, correct!

In Cover Orange, as the title says, you have to cover the oranges and protect them from the harmful rain. It’s fun! But it can get very difficult at certain levels and very tricky.

In Siege Hero, hah! I passed with flying colors! I finished the game easily. Even played it again to unlock a treasure chest that leads to another set of games by increasing the scores per game. Although there are levels in which you have to keep maidens unharmed, you still get to destroy structures and smash those itsy bitsy guards. Hay, so enjoyable! It has awakened my violent tendencies. Harhar!

So the Hubby can now focus on his driving us home. I don’t bother him with my mga kwento anymore because I’m so occupied in playing Siege Hero! :-p

Happy birthday, Mama Mary!

Today is Mama Mary’s birthday.
Happy birthday to the greatest mom of all!

Will I Get To Meet Uncle Sam?

I wonder what will it take us to get ourselves a US Visa?

Although having one gives us a step closer to meeting Uncle Sam, I am not so eager! Yes, I’m trying my best to sound proud, as if unaffected. Hehe!

Well, if I don’t have to shell out more than 6 thousand pesos per family member for a chance (with emphasis, that is a 50-50 chance) to be interviewed by some (see, I’m not generalizing) moody consuls, I could’ve moved mountains to schedule an interview right away. Call me frugal. Aba, 6k is 6k! Dami ko na mabibili dun. No issue if we get to be granted kaso nga 50-50 ang chances di ba? And the fee is non-refundable.

What is making me ponder on this?

The Hubby’s family wants us to apply for a US tourist Visa since his sister’s family has been living there. And it would be nice naman daw if we get to go there sometime.

Ay ok lang naman, basta libre plane ticket ha! ^_^

O sha, i’ll do my part na lang by checking the application procedures. Mahirap na, baka kakareklamo ko, hindi pa ko maisama pag sinwerteng maganda ang mood ni Mr./Ms. Consul.

Wanting Quality Time

Medyo sad post ulit...

The Hubby and I find it hard to sleep these past 3 nights. Not that we can’t sleep because we had been so tired we can sleep even while standing. It’s just that Amber won’t sleep right away.

Dati naman, even if she woke up late from her afternoon nap, she will still sleep when we go up to the room and turn the lights off.

I asked Tita Renee what changed in Amber’s schedule that made her so hyper-active in the evening but she said there’s nothing she can remember. I asked her if she gave her sweets, hindi naman daw.

She would come to us then run away squealing with delight as if we are running after her. In the end, we’ll just really run after her so as not to disappoint her.

Then last night, we were already lying down. Amber pulled her Daddy up because she wants him to dance with her. Daddy, with his partly opened eyes obliged, although too tired. They have some sort of a choreographed move. Daddy will turn and swing her around then lift her up as if they are ballet or contemporary dancers.

They are so cute to look at but I’m as tired and sleepy that I just curled up in my blanket. As I was about to drift off, I heard Amber said, “Mommy, sing! Mommy, sing!!!”.

She wanted me to sing while they dance.

Then Hubby meaningfully looked at me and I understood.

Amber was trying to get more time from us to spend with her. That even if she, herself looked sleepy, she refused to sleep just yet.

Made us a little guilty for not spending enough time with her and wanting to instantly hit the sack as soon as we get home. L

The Habit of Reading

I’m so happy that Amber shows interest in books.

When the Hubby and I get home, she would get a book, sit on the sofa, ask us (me, most of the time ^_^) to sit beside her and read her a book. This has become a habit.

Last night while she waits for us to finish our dinner, she took a magazine and started browsing its pages.
She said F-R-E-E out loud. Pinili ang libre. Anak ko nga ito!

And she likes fashion, too! Err, maternity clothes ata yan, anak. ^_^

She doesn’t read yet but she spells the letters of boldly printed words.

Keep up with the habit, young girl. Seeing you 'read' makes Mommy uber happy!
